There was some good stuff (lots of Greg, for example, and a decent storyline) but I was disappointed that Catherine's appearances were limited to the flashbacks, which I thought were kinda cheesy and not done well at all. It would have been nice for her to interact with the team in the present. Where was the explanation for Nick's absence (special training at Quantico)? Did I miss it? After they talked to the blonde girl in the hospital, my hubby and I said at the same time, "She did it." Did not make the connection about Darcy faking her death and blackmailing Jason Priestly. So that was good. Hodges and Henry and the cameras was just weird. Doc telling Morgan that she's "a superstar too" was weird. That montage at the end was kinda interesting. When the camera lingered on "Gil Grissom/Sara Sidle" in the final shot, I thought it and my husband said it: What's THAT all about? Sorry to be such a negative Nellie today...

I really liked this episode. It was a great tribute to the past. I found 7 of the hidden 300's on first viewing. Will look a little closer next time. Also, I loved all the shout out's to old eps, including the movie posters of old episode titles.
I knew Marg was mostly going to be in flashbacks so that didn't bother me at all.
I kind of figured the blond had something to do with it as soon as I saw her in the preservation room. I thought the twist of the supposed dead girl from 14 years ago being alive and framing Jason's character was interesting, it certainly caught me by surprise.
I also thought it was a good mix of old and new cast. DB telling Sara not to push too hard reminded me of the many times Grissom had that same conversation with her. Greg was right in his element with this case. I wonder what ever came of his book...
That end shot made me really wonder too. Especially when it's tied in with the first case flashback they used. They had lots of miniature killer cases to choose from and yet they not only go with the Sara under the car model but the scene where Grissom reveals their relationship to the team. Seems telling to me. Was it a final goodbye homage to Grissom and GSR telling us they'd always be connected somehow, or foreshadowing of a reconciliation? Or were they just messing with us?

I haven't gotten around to watching it so I can't say whether it was good or bad. I hope to watch it this weekend. I will say that I've heard that they didn't mention Nick and I'm not at all surprised. It's way past time for George to move on. I know it, most of his fans know it, TPTB know it, it's just time for George to know it. He might and is just waiting for the end of the season, who knows.
The good news on the George front is that my friend's "Bring Back George Eads" facebook page is hopping with people who hadn't heard that he's basically off the show now. Yeah, yeah, he's filming, but I know he won't get much at this point. The lack of any mention as to where he is in the 300th episode is proof positive of that.
My only hope is that TPTB just get honest with this George situation already! Quit trashing him in the press and say straight up that they've decided that they don't have room for Nick in their cast. I would so much more respect that then what's been going on for the past few weeks.

George Eads Returns To CSI After Two-Month Break ... 22 Oct 2013 It looks like the claws are being retracted and the big cats of CSI are going back to their respective corners. George Eads will be returning to his regularly scheduled program of murder and mystery and I can’t help but wonder if he feels as though he was put in his place. Without knowing the entire story of why he took a break from the series, it’s hard to understand the circumstances of his return. Are the parties involved apologetic? Was anything resolved? Was Eads scolded? I would love to know all the dirty details, but I’m sure my imagination can come up with something better anyway. According to 'EW', Eads will be back as Nick Stokes in Episode 9, airing Nov. 20. He abruptly stopped work on the CBS procedural back in August over an off-camera dispute with a writer. Within CSI, Stokes’ absence will not be explained, » - Brody Gibson

Diamond, follow George on twitter. You won't be disappointed. He sounds so happy and I can't wait for him to get off CSI and go forth! He has one movie in the can and another one in production.
Whatever happened with CSI should have been behind closed doors. Instead, TPTB went out of their way to demonize him while putting women working in the workplace back about 30 years.

Was nice to see Catherine Willows, even if it was in flashbacks to the old case. Would have been nicer if she came to help. team did work diligently to solve both murders. I kinda figured that Jack Witten(Beverly Hills 90210), was innocent. But he was cocky. And that first murder (Darcy Blaine), probably was at his place. We found out he loved her. Now we find Gwen Onetta dead and he don't know about it?? One of my suspects was Walter Blaine, trying to find who killed his daughter, may have set up Witten to put him away. Glad it wasn't dad. Good thing Ryan, Emily's BF txt Gwen so they knew the hour she died. Mitch found next suspect Bob Geer dead.
They check carpet, do you think it wqould be there 14 years later? Maybe not. I'm surprised they could hear Emily Bridwell's moaning noises through the vault walls!? But swallowing the film??? No way! Then died and turned Smurf blue. Silver poisoning. But Darcy was found on the film. Witten didn't know she still alive. Bob Geer, photographer offered to get rid of body??! She is alive and her name is Vivian Sinclair. Sara quipped "Dead Girl Walking!" Her father abused her, and now she is married with 2 kids. Hodges photographing Henry posing was funny. I thought he would be annoyed by Hodges. Using the old cameras was nice.
Nice picture assortment at end! We see Grissom, Catherine and Warrick! But no Ray! We see the miniature killer and many other scenes.
