Finally, some news...this from tv guide...
Heard anything about the new season of CSI: NY? —Jonny ADAM: I hear the new season is on fire! When a string of arsons takes the life of a New York Fire Department captain, Mac and his team must track down the pyro. (Among the potential suspects: a guy who impersonates real-life firefighters and a slightly unhinged arsonist who is in New York to follow in her mentor's footsteps.) At a loss at how to proceed, Mac reluctantly teams up with a known fire-starter to crack the case.

Some more news for NY fans...
Will Mac's love interest be returning on CSI: NY? — Bradley, via Twitter ADAM: You bet! And Christine (guest star Megan Dodds) will have played a big part in getting Mac back on his feet after being shot in the finale. "That relationship is still going strong," executive producer Pam Veasey tells us. "She was part of his rehabilitation, so they've definitely grown closer. She is very supportive of him. He is very happy in this relationship, as is she." And although Veasey promises the relationship will be challenged and explored, she concedes that the season (series?) "will ultimately end with a great deal of happiness for Mac." Hmmm, wedding bells, anyone?

Megan Dodds was so funny in 'Ever After', I think that's why I like her on CSI NY ... Wedding bells, well maybe not that ... lol ...
Claire Forlani is an actress that I could never like, in anything, so I was glad when that ended ... I was also always glad that Mac and Stella never had any relationship other than work ...

Diamond, thank you for reminding me where i saw Megan Dodds from. I loved the movie Ever After. I just haven't warmed up to her character on NY though.
I also would not of liked to of seen Mac with Stella. They were great friends like Catherine and Grissom but nothing else. I do think Mac would of been good with Jo though. Maybe it is just that i like Sela Ward so much.

*SPOILER*
I could really use some CSI: NY spoilers. — Ethan ADAM: And I would really like to give you some: We're going to meet Lindsay's father! Described as a rugged outdoorsman, we'll first meet him when Lindsay travels to her hometown to witness the execution of the man who murdered her three best friends when they were teenagers. Although Papa Monroe is a gruff man of few words, he's trying his best to be there for his daughter as she relives her painful memories.
They already relived this part of Lindsay's past. I really see no need to do it again. Oh well....

This is from the TV Guide site....
How long is Mac's aphasia story line going to last on CSI: NY? — Brenda ADAM: Executive producer Pam Veasey says it will take some time, mostly because, as we saw in the most recent episode, Mac is going to be slow to accept other people's help. "He's not going to share [his struggle] and what you learn later is that he really needs to share it," Veasey says. "As we move through the season, he does meet challenges. There are some conflicts with people in the office. Ultimately he does get better, but it's a challenge and a struggle for him. It's about: 'When do you let others help you as opposed to you being the hero helping others?'"

I do like both characters very much but 'Flovato' ? Really ? Romance on the job, in ensemble casts is usually awkward and uncomfortable ... But what will be will be ...

This is from tv guide...
I'm so excited Danny and Lindsay are having another baby on CSI: NY! Please tell me the writers aren't going to turn that storyline into something heartbreaking. — Christina
ADAM: Executive producer Pam Veasey says she has no such plans, but she does want the Messer family to make some tough choices during the remainder of Season 9. "They have to decide, 'Are we city people or do we get to go to Long Island or Staten Island or Jersey?'" Veasey says. And those decisions may also have impact on their professional lives. "Does Lindsay take time off now that Lucy's older and just be a mom? Do they need to both work? We want the audience to know they're making choices to continue their lives," Veasey says. "It's really important that we end this season knowing that there's a lot of growth in everybody's personal life."
It sounds to me that Pam Veasey wants to put the characters in a good place on the off shoot that the show is not picked up for another season. NY is on the bubble again for the third year.

Found this over on tv guide about the future of NY and Criminal Minds and thought i would share.
Question: What can you tell me about the future of CSI: NY and Criminal Minds? These two shows are great, and I haven't heard anything about them being renewed. If NY gets canceled, I feel CBS will be at fault for moving it to Friday nights. Criminal Minds if canceled will be for the person who replaced Paget Brewster. — Sharon
Matt Roush: Speaking of third-generation spin-offs, CSI: NY has been on the "bubble" for several seasons, in part because of how expensive these shows get the longer they last — it just ended its ninth season, and that's a long run by any standards — but also because of CBS' need to refresh its lineup by eventually retiring some of its long-running procedurals to make room for a new generation of potential hits. Making room for new shows also helps explain why the show moved to Fridays and why the mothership now airs on Wednesdays, opening up Thursday to shows like Person of Interest and Elementary. With Criminal Minds, my understanding is that a renewal won't be made official until all of the various talent deals are worked out (again: the $ issue), but Minds and the original CSI are still big enough draws it would be a surprise if they aren't renewed.
Matt needs to check the tv guide scorecard for the Fall because the original CSI has already been renewed for another season.

This is from TV Guide. Nothing new though. Personally i think CBS is waiting for all their shows to end first run episodes before they make their decision about NY. Since NY finished its season everything CBS has tried before Blue Bloods hasn't done all that well and has even hurt Blue Bloods. We shall see.
Question: Is CSI: NY done for good? I see actors from the show on summer show promos, and it's making me wonder if the show is over. Also, the way the season ended with everyone getting on with life, like the final episode of CSI: Miami, it's kind of spooky that they would end both programs the same way. Any hints? — Ramona
Matt Roush: Not so much spooky as common sense, seems to me. CSI: NY has been on the cancellation "bubble" for the last few seasons, as it gets more expensive and the network seeks to refresh its lineup with fresh titles and potential new hits. This year, with a reduced episode order reinforcing the writing on the wall, the producers apparently felt the urge to end this season with a sense of closure, mercifully not with a cliffhanger. Its future isn't sealed, though. It has escaped cancellation before, and much depends on CBS' development for next season and if the network feels it's worth the risk to try something new in front of Blue Bloods in the fall.
