It sounds like it is going to be a great episode. The previews looked good too. Linda is going to start to question her life as a cops wife. And that is something that i think every cops wife goes through at one time or another.

Now this was a great episode.
Danny hitting the man with his car and then finding out that he is a pedophile. Then the man who was chasing the pedophile with a gun and ends up shooting into the car with Linda and the boys. Wow!
I can understand how Linda felt when she saw Danny showing his son his gun...her children could of been killed... but i also understand Danny's reasons for doing it.
Frank finally having to deal with his feelings about 9/11 and being in the north tower was very honest i think. The scene with him in the hospital talking to his friend that he really hadn't seen since the attacks was sad. I think many have asked themselves at one time or another why them and not me...do i have the right to be glad that it wasn't me.
A top-notch episode. Good acting by all.

I agree Candy. This was a great episode.
Very much Danny and Frank heavy.
I completely understand where Linda was coming from when Danny showed Jack his gun. But what Danny said was also very true, they can't just ignore the fact there is a gun in the house because that is far more dangerous than showing the boys how to safely handle one.
I thought when Danny saw his neighbor with the bandage on his arm that he was going to shoot him. Or at least rough him up a little for shooting at the boys. Glad he didn't.
Poor Frank. On top of his feelings about 911 and his guilt about why he is still living and not sick, he's also feeling guilty about Jamie being a cop because that was the one thing Mary didn't want. Frank needs a hug....I guess I'll have to make the sacrifice and volunteer
Over all a great episode.

Its all well and good to have a dramatic gifting of Danny giving Linda his badge, but to me he should have gotten in the car when the gunman told him to and driven his family to safety, if only a short distance, called 911 and then went back, 2-3 min ... So much for Danny's control and anger etc., its BS in my opinion ...
I loved Henry talking to Frank about God ... That scene made the whole episode for me and made me think about my life ... Excellent !!
Enjoyed Franks 9/11 eulogy ...
Good epi ... Lots to think about ...
I'll read everyone else's comments now ...

A top-notch episode. Good acting by all. I think Danny's kids should have been taught about his gun/guns a long time before this incident ... They are living in house with a gun presence and education is the best policy, imo ... My house has a gun/guns and my family are taught at an early age about them, for everyone's safety and knowledge ...
Frank's North Tower 9/11 experience was heart breaking ...

Diamond...I do agree with you about Danny's response. I get that he's a cop and his instinct is to do what he did. But, I think he should have at least driven a couple blocks away like you said. Of course that may also have been considered a hit and run which definitely wouldn't be good either. Maybe the best thing for him to do would have been to have Linda take the kids and the car and drive away. At least his family wouldn't have been at risk.
As for Franks hug, I said it first so, I guess that means "you snooze, you lose". lol.

Finally got to watch this, OMG riveting from the beginning till the end. A slime-ball pedophile, the scum of the earth. The hitting the guy, and Danny trying to hlep and the dark shadowy figure and the gun fight. Donnie Walhberg so good. He could easily win an Emmy for his portrayal of Danny. His wife, I swear, she never backs him up or consoles him. The poor boys shattered by this awful moment. Frank seeing a psychiatrist, who was bugging him more then helping him. When he left and went back to his olffice, the comissioner 3rd degreeing him and insinuating he was having an affair. Frank "why Mrs. Regan, you've gained some weight" ;D and "I never could get one past you" without saying anything or where he really was Danny showing his son the gun and how to use it. His always negative wife having a snit-fit over that. Frank and his dad talking about 9/11 he never got over it [did anyone?] Grampa :"I don't understand it, but I trust in his plan for us all" Frank grins.. The family dinner with everyone agreeing on Danny's side & his continuation and wifey "I'm done playing 2nd fiddle to the NYPD" Frank visiting his dying friend in the hospital.. Danny giving his badge to her and the quick turn-around, & her hugging him.. Danny pissed off going to his pals house and rummaging through his trash, then running amok and finding the wound, arresting him. His daughter was accosted by a low-life from the half-way house and retailated. The funeral and the memory of 9/11 how his friend John McKenna saved 100 people on that day in infamy. Good cast, great stories, fantastic show ;D Attachments:
